Sprouts and Kroger Shopping

I like to go to Sprouts on Wednesdays. It is double sale day. The sale from last week is still going on and the new sale has started. You can get double deals and if you didn’t stock up enough last week you can get some more at the same price. I wish all stores did this. I find it frustrating to buy something only to see it on sale next week even cheaper. I found cheap spices at Sprouts this week. There is a spot where they have all types of spices around $1.25 per packet. This was an impulse buy, since I needed some coriander.

Here is how I did:

(.89) Roma Tomatoes @ $0.88 lbs I will pick some more up next week. I got 4.

(1) lbs Carrots $0.89 – This is a great price. I will pick some up next week and freeze them

(2) Cucumbers $0.49 each

(1) Coriander - $1.25

(1) Blueberries 1 pint $1.99

I spent $11.17 for my produce and received a $0.05 bag credit for bringing my own bag. I like to buy the Sunflower seeds and use them for snack mixes with the cereal I have purchased. My daughter is allergic to nuts so I buy sunflower seeds and pumpkin seed to substitute for nuts for her. We love them too.

At Kroger I only needed a few things. I thought I had a coupon for $2.00 off Pillsbury Grands biscuits, but it said if I purchased 4 I would get a $2.00 OYNO coupon. So I purchased 4 biscuits and I did get a catalina for $2.00 OYNO. I will use this towards milk this next week.

Here is how I did:

Used a $3.00 OYNO coupon from last time. I paid $10.83 and saved $10.88. This should have been $1.40 less. I wanted to use another coupon with the Rosarita and ground beef coupon, but the back said one per customer per visit. I didn’t read that or I would have just gotten one beef and 3 Rosaritas. There is only one cashier in the mornings when I go. I was tempted to tell her to back of the beans and the meat, but there was a line forming and I just didn’t want to go through the hassle. I forgot to check my eCoupons before I left. I had a coupon for the yogurt that would have been doubled if I didn’t have the eCoupon. I normally check this and remove them before I go.

I have also read you can get a $4.00 catalina on purchasing 4 Reach toothbrushes until June, but I forgot to pick those up. That would have helped my percentages, since they would have been free with the $1/1 coupons I have from SS 04/17/11. Let me know if you have tried this with any success. I am going to get these this weekend.
